You did a good job to recreate the game. To add up to the controls comment, you may look into locking the mouse focus into the game so it's easier to play. It feels like the controls are tied to the mouse position rather than body physics/weight, so it's hard to control it. If you would work into other lite games, i would love to talk about investing in them. Regarding Graphics, there are lots of possibilities now with AI, is this something you are considering? Good luck with your project!
These controls are a bit undercooked.
IMO Should be the character reaches and leans towards the mouse, excluding any hands if they are grabbing.
I want to be able to grab and swing myself back and forth to build momentum to make a jump.
Also currently you can just spam jump and rocket yourself into the sky.
The art direction is on the nose... considering the concept. If you are going all the way with developing this. It might be worth making it feel a little less derivative. i.e. bringing a unique point of view and style - assuming it's not a parody.
Seems like a cool concept though and looks alright.
I liked the game A Difficult Game About Climbing. This was an attempt to imitate it.
The hands do not copy the movement of the mouse, the mouse only gives the hands an impulse to go in a given direction. As soon as the mouse stops, gravity pulls the hand down. That's why I put Ragdoll in the name. We don't control the puppet. We just push its hands :) I thought this concept was fun, but the controls suffer from it. I'll probably redo the whole thing.
